If there was one thing as big as the expectation and excitement about the launch of Blu-ray technology in the marketplace – it was the utter disappointment at the high cost of Blu-ray replication and all the hoops that needed to be jumped through.

Blu-ray may be all well-and-good for the major motion picture studios, but independent videographers and film makers don’t often see a cost/benefit number that lines up in their favor. The result of that is a strong demand for DVD5 and DVD9 replication by the ‘indie’ industry.

Despite those realities there’s still an alternative, so at Precision Disc we’re please to provide Blu-ray Duplication services in a wide range of packaging solutions.

Packaging options include the standard blue Blu-ray cases with printed paper inserts and, of course, any of our popular Digipak and Eco-Sleeves. We’ve also got some interesting ‘combo’ packages that feature DVD5 or DVD9 *plus* a duplicated Blu-ray companion disc.

That being said, if there’s a specific packaging solution you’re looking for but don’t see it published on our website, just give us a call. The fact that we have our own in-house commercial printing division (which includes digital printing, offset printing, variable printing, die-cutting, folding, gluing and packaging) means that we can provide the custom solution that you’re looking for.

Introducing the CS400 CD Jewel Case Slip Cover – what a great way to dress up an already great product!

The CS400 is open on both ends (essentially a ‘tube pocket’) so a standard single disc capacity CD Jewel Case can be inserted or removed from either end.

Note: The CS400 is not suitable for Slim CD Jewel Cases, or Jewel Cases thicker than the standard one disc capacity case.

The CS400 CD Jewel Case Slip Cover features full colour CMYK (4/0) printing on eco-friendly 15pt recycled boardstock and we’ve added it as a separate ‘add-on’ item to our web-quote system. That just means that you quote CD duplication package and the Slip Cover independently of each other.

Minimum order quantity for this great new CD packaging option is just 25 units – so whether you are interested in short-run CD duplication (up to 299 units) or larger run CD replication (300 units or more), you can take advantage of this product.

Encoding: This step ensures that the client’s edited video content is going to physically fit onto a DVD and is in the appropriate format for its intended end use.

Authoring: Through the use of specialized authoring software, a range of interesting interactive features can be included on the finished DVD. Examples include menus, transitions, chapter points, closed captioning, etc.
